Qc Manager

Newforce Energy is a diversified oilfield services company with divisions in: pipeline construction, pipeline maintenance and integrity, facilities construction, facilities maintenance, lease & road construction, and electrical and instrumentation (E&I).

Newforce is currently looking for a Quality Control Manager who is experienced in the Oil & Gas industry to join our team based out of Drayton Valley and Sylvan Lake area.

**Responsibilities**
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
- Promote Newforce Energy Services Ltd., Quantum Controls Ltd. and other related companies.
- Prepare for, manage, and attend all QA/QC Audits, recertifications, etc.
- Prepare and maintain all Quality Control documentation.
- Assist with hiring of Quality Control personnel.
- Train, manage, and supervise all Quality Control personnel.
- Assist supervisors with on-site Quality Control, as needed.
- Prepare digital red-line drawings for Newforce supervisors/customers as assigned.
- Assist with oilfield facility construction or maintenance bidding/estimating as the need arises
- Compile field data and reports to create an accurate project manual and ensure timely completion of manuals.
- Work with field supervisors to ensure all required QC data is captured in the field.
- Coordinate and assist QC department with turnovers and review of same.
- Ability to read and interpret ISO drawings, NDE reports and other job relevant materials.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation; ASME, CSA, ABSA, CWB, etc. including periodic audits.
- Keep up to date with any regulatory or legislative changes and share that information with field supervisors.
- Expand and enhance Quality Control manual and corporate capacity as opportunities arise.
- Ensure suppliers are aware of the clients needs and that they are clearly defined.
- Facilitate ongoing communications with clients and ensure responsiveness to issues/requests.
- Position is full-time, 40 hours per week with overtime sometimes required.
- Manage monthly/annual renewal requirements for trade certifications
- Other job duties as required, as the above duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

**Qualifications**
- Certification in ASME, ABSA, CWB and other relevant regulators
- CWB Welding Inspection Level 2 (ASME B31.3)
- CWB Welding Supervisor (CSA W59, W47.1)
- Level 1 Welding Inspection certificate
- Minimum 5 years quality control/assurance experience
- Knowledge of various software suites including: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Acorn, and others.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency and organization.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Detail-focused.
- Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions as needed.

**Salary**: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Quality Control: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Certification in ASME, ABSA, CWB or other (preferred)
- Certified Welding Inspector level 2 (preferred)
