**SUMMARY**:
**Typical Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Packaging Operations**:

- Oversee daily packaging activities to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
- Implement, and monitor SOP’s for packaging to drive efficiency and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage packaging material inventory and packaged cannabis products.
- Ensure proper maintenance and optimization of packaging machinery and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels while collaborating with the vault and warehouse staff.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as productivity, cost, and downtime, and implement strategies for improvement.

**Team Leadership**:

- Lead and mentor the packaging and excise team to meet objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular training sessions on best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct bi-weekly one on ones with supervisors.
- Create KPI’s for the team to target monthly.

**Requirements**:

- Must have 1-2 years of experience in Operations, preferably in manufacturing and packaging.
- Strong knowledge of packaging machinery, materials, and production processes.
- Excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Proven expertise in managing large teams.
- Professional and concise communication in written and oral form.
- Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft 365; especially in Excel.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment**:

- On site at the facility. 60% office, 40% production floor.
- Interactions with clients may be required.
