Assistant Operations Manager

Your creativity is welcome here and we are looking for those who take accountability of their effort, with room for growth. **Assistant Operations Manager**: We are looking for a team member to join us full time and someone who has a passion for health and fitness and serving others. You must be willing to greet everyone who walks through the door by name, have a passion for helping people, and a willingness to learn new things. We're looking for a high energy, self-starter who can get things done even with tremendous flexibility in your days. - **Important**:_ You must take pride in your work ethic, your care factor, and your ability to serve our membership base to remain the top rated gym in the city. If you genuinely care about people, we can teach you the rest. A positive, outgoing personality is critical. **Day-to-Day Responsibilities**: - **Membership Sales —**_ We use a proven system that helps our members overcome their own roadblocks to starting a fitness program. When used correctly, this system doesn't feel like sales at all. Remember, you are hired to help people get to a healthier place. - **Club Promotional Marketing —**_ We love the creative "guerrilla" type marketing We do use traditional marketing strategies (television, radio, newspaper, direct mail, etc.), but we really prefer the creative stuff. A good understanding of how to use social media is a plus. _Graphic design experience and video editing are a plus_ - **Facility Upkeep --**_ We pride ourselves on the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility - maintaining the facility to our top-notch cleaning standards is a must. - **Community Involvement —**_ We love being a part of the local community—even if it means working on a Saturday. There are countless opportunities to get outside the club and promote our business. We actively participate in community-sponsored events. - **Networking / Employee Wellness —**_ We work with a network of local and national employers and insurance companies that try to encourage their employees to lead healthier lifestyles. Making contacts is the first step—then we try to find a solution that helps everyone. - **Team Building —**_ Leading a team and driving results through motivation and fun is a key component to ensure success in the position. Your core team consists of your Club Manager, personal trainers and group trainers. You will also work with management and team members from other locations and the owner. - **Member Experience —**_ The most important aspect of all Is your club amazing? Do your members love you? Do they like the environment you create inside the club? Are they inspired to share their experience with friends, family, and coworkers? We pride ourselves on providing top-notch customer service and aim to make each member's and guest's experience exceptional Do you have this effect on people? - **Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license is a must. There is occasional training, events, and coverage within south-western Ontario, but most notably between the Stoney Creek, Ancaster, and Dundas location.**_ **Qualifications**: - Strong background in sales is a benefit. - Experience in videography, photography, and editing is very helpful. - Must have experience with social media. - Ability to multitask is a must. - Prior experience with screening, interviewing staff, or onboarding an asset. **Staffed Hours**: Monday-Thursday: 9am-9pm Friday: 10am-7pm Saturday: 9am - 5pm Occasional Sundays 12pm-5pm Weekend events, festivals, tradeshows etc. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 - 42 per week Additional pay: - Bonus pay - Commission pay **Benefits**: - Dental care - On-site parking - Store discount - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift - Monday to Friday - Morning shift - Weekends as needed **Experience**: - video editing or graphic design: 1 year (preferred) - Sales: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - driver's license and vehicle (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-10-28
