**Duties and responsibilities for this position will include**:

- Predominantly test day to day samples on construction sites, for the private sector and/or government contracts.
- Provide field testing and inspection services for various projects including compaction testing and concrete sampling and testing.
- Compile and tabulate technical data for use in technical reports.
- Conduct geotechnical laboratory testing on soil, asphalt, concrete, and aggregates.
- Participate in the general daily routine of laboratory practices.
- Conduct equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Field quality control of construction materials.
- Materials sampling.
- Learn to effectively organize assigned daily tasks based on workflow and due dates.

**Job Requirements**:

- Preferably CCIL certified (for field concrete).
- CET Certification is also considered an asset.
- Knowledgeable and comfortable with standards codes such as ASTM, LS, CSA etc...
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.

**Start date**: ASAP (negotiable)

**Physical Requirements**:
Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to occasionally lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed
