Night Shift Lead Valve Technician

We are looking for a Night Shift Lead Valve technician to fill our site team in Northern Alberta, Canada on a rotational 7 on / 7 off shift.
This is for a **7 on / 7 off rotation** with an 80 hour work week on site located in Northern Alberta, 1 hour north of Fort McMurray. Your home base would be **Edmonton **where you would spend your 7 days off. Flights are provided to and from site, accommodation is also provided on site camp with your own room and bathroom. All food is provided with no charge and access to rec rooms, large gym, golf simulators and outdoor sports field during summer months.

**Roles and responsibilities**
- Follow and carry out scopes as instructed by Team lead.
- Leading nightshift scopes in the workshop or in field.
- Strip, assess, inspect and assemble all types of valves including PSV’s, Ball, Globe, Gate, Choke, Check, Butterfly, Control etc. in both workshop and site based environments
- Strip, assess, inspect and assemble all types of valve operators
- Carry out pressure tests to various industry specifications
- Carry out valve surveys and in field inspections on valves. Including measuring of top works, operators and valve stems.
- In field PM’s on critical plant valves which include; Midas testing, chemical injection, Thermography
- Work safely and adhere to Company safety systems, standards or any other requirements from customers or their sites
- Interact with the client on scopes and provided solutions to in field valve/operator issues.
- Ensuring all relevant workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records kept up to date
- Provide core competence in use of all torque and tensioning equipment
- Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes
- Responsible for the general housekeeping within and surrounding workshop and in plants.
- Provide detailed handovers to dayshift Team Lead
**Qualification requirements**
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
- Technical qualification in a mechanical discipline is preferred
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working within a valve repair workshop environment or on site
- Experience gained within the valve, valve service or Oil & Gas industries

Pay: $28.69-$36.84 per hour
