Head Cheese Maker

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the entire cheese production process from curd formation to packaging.
- Manage the sanitation of all equipment and work areas to maintain a clean and safe production environment.
- Monitor and control the fermentation and aging processes to ensure optimal flavor development.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any production issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including batch numbers, ingredient usage, and quality control checks.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in food processing, particularly in cheese making or dairy production.
- Experience with HACCP and/ or other GMP or regulatory programs
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating production yields.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
