Accure Tree Service is hiring a **Groundsperson / Arborist Apprentice** to join our professional tree care team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, wants to learn the arborist trade, and is motivated to grow into a climbing position in the future. **Who We’re Looking For**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist climbers with safe and efficient tree removals and pruning
- Operate chipper, chainsaws, rakes, blowers, and other tools
- Drag and process branches, buck firewood, manage ropes, and maintain clean job sites
- Set up job sites with cones, signage, ground protection mats, etc.
- Load and unload equipment, assist with debris cleanup
- Follow safety procedures and communicate clearly with the crew
- Opportunity to learn knots, rigging, climbing fundamentals, aerial rescue, bucket truck operations.
- Safe and efficient chainsaw operation (ground and aerial)
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized job site
- Communicate clearly with crew, customers and uphold safety protocols
- Properly maintain and operate equipment
- Build Strong customer relation skills

**Requirements**:
**Required**:

- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence with Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform strenuous physical labour
- Comfortable working around chainsaws, chippers, and heavy equipment
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Work well in team environments
- Drug & Alcohol Free

**Assets (Not Required)**:

- Experience in landscaping, forestry, construction, or tree work
- Chainsaw or small equipment experience
- First Aid, Fall Protection, or other tickets
- Air brakes or trailer endorsement
- Interest in progressing into a climbing role
- Experience driving standard trucks and towing trailers

**Work Location**

Accure Tree Service operates across **Central Vancouver Island**, including but not limited to:
Parksville **Nanoose Bay** Lantzville **Nanaimo** Qualicum Beach

**Schedule**
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Occasional overtime
