**Scope of position**:

- The Asset Protection Program Manager will be responsible for assisting in the delivery and the maintenance of Air Canada's physical security and asset protection program.
- To protect all assets, the employees, and the maintenance of all the security systems, the incumbent will ensure the compliance of corporate policies and procedures and revise them when required.
- The incumbent will work closely with the GSOC Aviation Security team to ensure that the 24/7 operational support centre is kept abreast of all upcoming changes to projects or systems which will impact their day-to-day operations and support the development or amendment of standard operating procedures.

**Key Function & Accountabilities**:

- Assist in delivering security projects respecting established timelines, financial expectations, and objectives to ensure initiatives are delivered on-time, and within budget and scope. Ensure to communicate any changes, challenges or successes throughout the department as necessary.
- Support the implementation of physical security initiatives and projects by providing operational and technical support to existing facilities and participating in consultations during retrofit and construction projects.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders, partners, and teammates to achieve the physical security program's multi-year objectives. Act as liaison for all aspects of the program. Coordinate with internal resources/stakeholders such as IT, Finance and CRE and external resources such as GardaWorld during program execution.
- Perform site visits and assessments as required, based on the risk assessment for all AC facilities and to ensure compliance with the Transport Canada Primary Security Line Partner program and related regulatory obligations.
- In coordination with the Manager, Quality and Security Risk Management, develop a quality assurance program to ensure a review of all facilities and their systems are functioning as designed throughout retrofit and after implementation.
- Develop and maintain a consistent and regular review protocol for all third-party site managers, to ensure there is frequent opportunity for feedback, and to proactively identify any site-specific issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze information systems security programs as a basis for reviewing the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of systems, controls, and processes. Ensure that retrofits are being conducted as per standard, and that existing facilities have regular oversight activities to ensure no vulnerabilities exist.
- Evaluate processes and controls for compliance with relevant existing or proposed laws and regulations, established policies, plans and procedures. Identify opportunities for new technology that may be beneficial to driving efficiency or supporting internal/external customer satisfaction.
- In coordination with the Manager, Security Systems and Asset Protection provide training and guidance to all security guards stations in the use of the security systems and tools.
- Support relationship management with our technology partners and other Air Canada branches who are involved in physical security projects. Assist with business and practice development, proposals, internal and external presentations.
- Maintain the implementation of physical security initiatives and provide operational support to existing facilities and consultation during construction projects for security systems.
- In collaboration with the company regulatory officers, ensure compliance in the implementation and maintenance of physical security strategy.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify security needs and assist in designing a solution to support new and existing business processes and standard operating procedures.
- Support the GSOC Aviation Security team during incident response or crises, by providing technical support and system expertise.

**Qualifications**
- Project management experience an asset.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment to make quick and effective decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement action plans that achieve objectives.
- Understanding of physical security systems, analysis and design, integration, and software management methodologies.
- Focused on continuous improvement, must be creative and an innovative thinker.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills both in English and French.
- Strong leadership and staff supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to teamwork.
- Recognized ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
- Must willing to travel.
