As an Auto Mechanic Prepper, you will play a crucial role in our shop's operations. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the repair process, ensuring they are in optimal condition for our mechanics to work on. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to our reputation for excellence.
**Responsibilities**:
**Vehicle Inspection**: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and document damage, dents, scratches, and other issues.
**Cleaning and Detailing**: Clean and prepare vehicles for repairs by washing, waxing, and detailing both the interior and exterior.
**Masking and Taping**: Carefully mask and tape off areas of vehicles that do not require repair to prevent overspray during the painting process.
**Sanding and Surface Preparation**: Remove rust, corrosion, and old paint, and sand surfaces to ensure a smooth and clean substrate for painting.
**Assist Painters**: Collaborate with painters in mixing and preparing paint and assisting with the painting process when needed.
**Quality Control**: Conduct post-repair inspections to ensure work meets our high-quality standards and customer expectations.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic Prepper or similar role.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, including painting and bodywork.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in auto repair.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
**Salary**: $20.00-$45.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
