**Casual Job Posting - Crisis Response Team**

Bridgeway Support Services, a division of Bridgeway Family Homes, seeks highly skilled Child and Youth Care Practitioners to support Foster Families, children, youth and young adults experiencing emotional distress often caused by mental and behavioural trauma who may be dysregulated and aggressive. You will be part of a Crisis Response Team and provide crisis intervention and management services to address acute crisis situations.

We are seeking individuals to provide short-term Crisis Response and Intervention as needed.

We require Crisis Response Team members throughout Durham Region.

**Responsibilities**
- Crisis Intervention
- Collaboration with Foster Families and Support Team
- To advise and assist during crisis response and post-crisis management techniques
- Case Notes as required

**Qualifications**
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree (ie. Child and Youth Care) from a recognized College or University
- Current Crisis Intervention Certification (ie. UMAB) an asset

**General Qualifications**
- Experienced in performing containments/restraints an asset
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Organizational, Administrative skills
- Ability to work with team members in a crisis
- Leadership qualities

**Requirements**:

- Current Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Welfare Record Check (from local Children's Aid Society)
- Driver’s Abstract, ‘G’ Class Driver’s License and Insured Vehicle $2 million liability on the vehicle
