Science Communicator - Dynamic Earth
6 month contract - $19 / hour
Are you passionate about discovering and sharing science experiences? Do earth sciences and ‘going underground’ excite you? If so, we would like to hear from you Science North is currently recruiting a Science Communicator for Dynamic Earth, where we deliver rockin’ experiences.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- support daily operations of the science centre
- deliver underground tours
- task and deploy science demonstrators and volunteer teams
- deliver engaging school programs & special event programming
- support exhibit and program development
- assist with inventories and maintenance of equipment, materials & supplies

**What you bring**:

- exceptional verbal communication skills in English and French
- engaging presentation and program delivery skills
- a positive and fun attitude with demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- demonstrated leadership ability
- strong organizational skills
- a passion for learning and enthusiasm to take on challenges
- willingness and ability to weekday daytime hours, though some work will include evenings, weekends and public holidays

This is a maternity leave replacement role through to September 8, 2025 based at Dynamic Earth, 122 Big Nickel Road Sudbury ON. This opportunity is not suitable for remote or hybrid work.
