Swine Technician

**About Us**

Modern farrow to wean operation looking for experienced farrowing and breeding technicians.

**Job Duties**
- Follow and enforce biosecurity protocols and animal welfare codes of practice
- All aspects of breeding/raising pigs including processing piglets, moving sows, piglets and boars
- Maintain health of the herd
- Carry out feeding routine and provide water for the animals
- Monitor herd health and properly handle and administer medications and vaccines as required
- Pressure wash and ensure rooms are clean and sanitized
- Maintain barn machinery and equipment
- Ensure proper ventilation and manure management
- Report any safety concerns to a supervisor
- Maintain detailed records
- Perform other duties as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
