We are currently recruiting a **Casual** **Bus Driver** for Lifestyle Options in Edmonton and area. We have 5 locations which include Whitemud, Riverbend, Terra Losa, Schonsee and Leduc.

The Bus Driver, under the direction of the Site Manager, will primarily be responsible for transporting residents of various physical capabilities and Lifestyles locations to and from their homes and the scheduled recreational outing destinations in an effective and safe manner. This individual will be responsible for following established routes and ensuring the established schedule is followed so passengers arrive at their destination on-time. The Bus Driver will maintain the health and safety of the residents while transporting, loading and unloading the residents, and ensure that all provincial legislation, policies and procedures are followed while operating the vehicle.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Safely deliver residents to and from their homes and destinations, following the assigned time schedule.
- Transport residents on special excursions.
- Assist residents with boarding, exiting and crossing the street while bus is stopped.
- Adhere to and enforce bus safety rules and standards.
- Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- Resolve any conflicts in a positive, respectful and proactive manner.
- Complete vehicle inspections prior to departing for any trip.
- Complete vehicle cleanliness inspections post trip, removing any garbage.
- Adhere to Lifestyle Options policies and procedures and all government regulations at all times.
- Read and interpret maps, where and when required.
- Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs to management.
- Arrange for annual Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) for the bus.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Possess a Valid Driver's License Class 2, including “Q” Airbrakes Endorsement
- Clear criminal record check completed a maximum of three (3) months prior to the ‘date of hire’ required.
- Minimum 3 years' safe driving experience.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Excellent driving skills and habits.
- Ability to remain attentive when faced with distractions.
- First Aid certificate is considered an asset.
- Enjoys working with seniors.
