We are looking for an Electrical Technician, Electrical Power Measurements, to support our instrument transformers design and test engineering team. The Electrical Technician provides technical (electrical, electronic, computer, and mechanical) support in the day-to-day operations of the instrument transformers design and test team.

**Your responsibilities**
- Conduct accurate and precise tests of measuring instruments including current transformers (solid, split, and flexible CT) ensuring compliance with standards
- Analyze and interpret test results and write test reports.
- Create well-developed test proposals and reports and operate test equipment.
- Conduct, prepare and validate test requests according to lab and customers' specifications and the latest revisions of applicable international standards (IEEE, CSA, IEC)
- Perform and prepare requirements of instrument transformers special tests according to IEC 61869 and IEEE C57.13.
- Participate in the prototyping and testing in collaboration with other engineering teams
- Closely monitor technological and scientific developments in the field of current transformer design and testing
- Prepare digital models of instrument transformers for analysis and improvement of the design procedure.
- Evaluate test results to make necessary modifications to future designs.
- Analyze measurement uncertainties and inaccuracies for electrical measurements, and provide calibration and testing reports ensuring compliance with IEC/ISO Standard 17025
- Design and prototype of accurate and precise measuring instruments
- Participate in investigations and problem-solving while contributing to one or more of the company's global working groups

**Your background**
- A diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge in the field of electrical power measurement
- Knowledge and experience of routine, sample and type tests of instrument transformers would be an asset
- experience in measuring instrument design would be an asset
- Experience in data analysis and interpretation of results
- Knowledge of applicable test protocols and standards
- Agility, result-oriented, team player, creative and self-starter
