Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operator to join our team at Millhouse Carpet Ltd. The Warehouse Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our shop by handling various tasks, including safety protocols, cleaning, and heavy lifting. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

**Responsibilities**:
Safety First: Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and fellow team members.

Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and organize incoming flooring materials and products. Accurately document quantities and update inventory records. Assist in tracking stock levels to ensure adequate supply and reorder when necessary.

Heavy Lifting: Safely lift, move, and stack flooring materials, including rolls of carpet, tiles, and wood planks. Utilize appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and dollies to move heavy items.

Order Fulfillment: Assist in fulfilling customer orders by selecting and preparing flooring products for delivery or customer pickup. Ensure accurate picking and packing of orders to maintain customer satisfaction.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized environment. Regularly sweep, mop, and perform general cleaning duties to uphold cleanliness standards. Keep aisles clear and free of debris to prevent accidents.

Quality Control: Inspect flooring products for damages or defects before shipping or placing them in stock. Communicate any issues to the Warehouse Manager to ensure quality control standards are met.

Assist Customers: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, loading purchased items into vehicles, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow warehouse Associates and other departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation. Support team members in achieving common goals and objectives.

Adaptability: Be open to taking on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the store.

Qualifications:
Prior warehouse experience is preferred, especially in a flooring or construction-related setting but is not necessary,

Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including rolls of carpet, tiles, and wood planks.

Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to dust and noise.

**Salary**: $17.50-$19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to Relocate:

- Calgary, AB T2E 6T4: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
