**Role**: Argument Lead

The Argument Lead is responsible for the strategic vision of the competitive travel teams and their success. The achieve these goals the consultant will:
Oversee the production of competitive cases for Vancouver Debate Academy;
Produce at least one (1) competitive case per topic;
Collaborating with the Head Coach on competitive learning materials: creation, utilisation and evolution;
Provide competitive preparation sessions prior to the start of assigned tournaments;
Provide strategic guidance during online AND in person tournaments for Vancouver Debate Academy (VDA);
Manage the Digital War Room (Zoom Room) and Communication Channels (Discord Server) during the competitive season;
Provide tournament feedback for tournaments assigned immediately following the completion of the tournament;
Provide Prep Session feedback to track the progress of students;
Develop and maintain competitive strategies throughout the topic cycle;
Provide prep recommendations for students, including video recordings of students’ recommendations for additional preparation;
Manage and improve tournament systems for optimal performance;
Provide written, video and audio content for marketing and branding purposes;

**Reports to**: Director and Head Coach of US Formats

**Pay Type**: Salary (9 Month Contract - paid out across 12 months)

**Pay Range**: $40,000-50,000 (CAD)
