**Summary**

In the role of Procurement Technician, you will play a vital role in optimizing vendor relationships. Your premium skills in SAP and Excel will enable you to enhance supply chain efficiency. Join our team and make a significant impact on our client's procurement efficiency and overall success.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Enters requisitions approved through internal hierarchy of approval
- Coordinating communications, approval drawing/document reviews and deliveries
- Ensures quotes are up to date to reflect most accurate pricing
- Enters requisitions and monitors data in departmental database to ensure purchase orders are assigned in a timely fashion
- Follows-up with Purchasing & Contracting to ensure orders are processed and provides updates to requesters and vendors regarding status of purchase orders and communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations
- Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues
- Generating progress/status reports & KPIs
- Collection of contractual documents/drawings at receipt of material or completed services

**Qualifications and education requirements**:

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders
- Knowledge of industrial purchasing practices
- Strong writing skills for creating reports, correspondence, contracts, requests, bids, and other documentation
- Strong computer skills in a Windows environment
- Experience with SAP
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $25.00-$27.50 per hour
