The Manufacturing Project Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating daily operations and is accountable for the commercial functions of planning, organizing, directing and improving the manufacturing process.
**We're looking at motivated individuals to**:
- Execution of multiple projects while working closely with the Manufacturing team to drive performance and minimize risk;
- Develop and execute project schedules based on contractual requirements and material availability
- Generate and review job reporting and monthly job status reports for labor hours, productivity, cash flow, expected cost-at-completion, profit margin, and revenue;
- Manage and communicate any changes to the project scope, schedule and costs, negotiate change orders with customer as may be required;
- Complete progress review and instruct Project Coordinator regarding submission for invoicing based on Contractual Progress Draw or Milestone payment schedule;
- Work with Project Coordinator to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
- Manage and direct the work activities of staff, determine recruitment needs as required and work with HR on performance management and employee relations issues;
- Establish and build customer relations, continuously seek business development opportunities and assist with estimating tenders for new projects;
- Lead the negotiations and purchasing of major equipment, trade subcontracts and sub-trade clients;
- Monitor Quality Control/Quality Assurance, ensuring that manufacturing operations adhere to the company’s Quality Management System;
- Ensure awareness and implementation of the company’s environmental and Health & Safety Programs;
- Adhere to all company workplace policies, standards, procedures and safe work practices;
- Assist with developing new safe job procedures and work instructions;
- Mentor junior positions, allowing for the growth of other Team Members
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in the electrical manufacturing industry;
- In-depth knowledge of the electrical industry with a general knowledge of building construction, mechanical and civil components
- Knowledge and experience in linear project construction;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is an asset;
- PM certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills;
- High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines;
- Self-starter and able to work in a team atmosphere;
- Strong leadership and delegation skills;
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills;
- Work in unionized environment an asset

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
