Aquarium Store Csr and Office Assistant

A well established, busy, tropical aquarium business with a large online presence is currently looking for a dedicated individual to assist in our dry goods showroom and help with clerical tasks for our online portion.
Duties would include:
- Use of the POS system
- Answering telephone and directing calls
- Inventory stocking
- Livestock shipment booking
- Upkeep of showroom (rotation of displays, cleaning, organizing, etc.)
- Answering general questions, and greeting customers.
- Using Excel, Word and Photoshop
Additional assets that would be a benefit would include:
- General PC computer knowledge
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Photoshop
- The ability to build displays and market product in-store differently than what is currently being done.
- Ability to speak French or another second language.
Preference will be given to individuals looking for _**permanent employment**_ with experience in saltwater aquariums and reef-keeping and/or freshwater aquariums.
Compensation will be $18.00/hour for the three month training period, at which time we will review the applicant and adjust wage accordingly. Individuals with experience in the aquarium industry may be eligible for a higher base starting rate.
Successful applicant would be working 4 days a week to start Saturday-Tuesday. Full days. If promise and initiative is shown this could be increased to 5 days a week.

Pay: From $17.85 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
