Charlottetown, Canada PEI Vision Surgical Centre Full time

The PEI Vision Surgical Centre is a fast-paced surgical environment where cataract surgery will be performed in a clinic setting. As a member of a cohesive team, the Centre is looking for employees who are flexible, reliable and able to complete duties related to various cleaning and housekeeping duties.

**Duties include but not limited to**:

- Perform various duties related to the general housekeeping and cleaning of the surgical centre areas and equipment;
- Perform waste removal duties;
- Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment,
- Clean and sanitize hospital equipment and furnishings as per facility guidelines;
- Adhere to safe work practices, accreditation safety standards, and applicable safety codes;
- Keep a clean and tidy work environment;
- Monitoring environmental services equipment/cleaning supplies;
- Assist with patient care related duties as requested;
- Perform all duties (i.e. wash, dry and fold) related to clinic linen and uniforms;
- Other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**: Applicants must have successful completion of Grade 12, be capable of sustaining physical activity and lifting heavy items. The applicant must have 2 years of recent experience in cleaning and housekeeping duties. Successful applicants must have a good attendance record and are dependable.

**Hours of work**: 37.5 hours per week with rotating day shifts. Flexible work hours will be required to meet operational demands, and weekly work hours will be adjusted based on the Employer’s specifications.

Pay: $20.72-$20.98 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (required)
