**Job description**

Strive is a new CMHC approved Canadian residential mortgage lender obsessed with customer satisfaction. Our mission is simple: to offer industry leading products and services to Canadian mortgage brokers and their clients with a focus on relationship building and best in market tech.

**About the role**:
This role is perfect for someone who is seeking to join a team of driven and entrepreneurial professionals in the mortgage industry, wants to work closely with senior management and build on their skills.

Strive is focused on providing brokers with the best experience when it comes to funding their prime mortgage files. A focus on relationship building, best in market tech, and an all-star team to take the file from start to finish and beyond. We have partnered with all 3 mortgage insurers, and will be offering insured, insurable, and uninsurable products.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will play a key role in the review, processing, and approval of mortgage documentation, while ensuring strict adherence to Strive’s residential mortgage underwriting policy, procedures, and applicable guidelines.

**This is a remote position, based anywhere in Canada.**

**Your day to day will include**:

- Review documentation for completeness in the highest credit quality standards, with compliance to Strive policies and procedures.
- Deliver an exceptional customer service experience in every interaction.
- Build, maintain and enhance customer service levels.
- Verify and validate customer documentation for accuracy while mitigating any concerns surrounding suspected misrepresentation.
- Instruct and manage closing administration.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Underwriters, Sales, and Funding to ensure smooth closings, ‘happy path’ experience and a great work environment for all.
- Manage pipeline through daily review and regular follow-up to collect outstanding documentation as outlined in the mortgage commitment.
- Ensure awareness and compliance of all aspects of the QA program.
- Continuously learn, adapt, engage, and grow in your role and as an integral part of the organization alongside collaborating and participating with the Strive team.
- Ensure you complete training and comply with confidentiality and regulatory requirements
- Act at all times in accordance with Strive’s risk appetite as defined by the RMUP
- Maintain employee, customer and partner confidentiality as described by Strive’s Employee Handbook

- Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment.
- Demonstrated ability to flourish in a high-volume, fast-paced, and service-oriented setting.

Nice to have but not required:

- Previous mortgage industry experience is considered an asset.
