Ontario Parks is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Park Maintenance Leader, supervising and leading the maintenance and operation of water and wastewater system, and other park facilities. If this sounds like something you would be excellent at, then consider this opportunity with Kakabeka Falls Lake Provincial Park**About the job**: In this role you will:

- provide group leadership, training, and guidance to staff in the maintenance department
- carry out the maintenance and monitoring of water and sewage systems.
- carry out a variety of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance and repair duties to park facilities, vehicles and equipment
- ensure policy and legislative requirements are met, maintained, and properly documented
- ensure park operating and capital maintenance standards are maintained

**What you bring to the team**:
**Mandatory requirements**:

- You must have a valid class 'G' driver's license or equivalent, as recognized by the province of Ontario.
- You have a valid emergency first aid certificate or have the ability to obtain it.
- You are able to work shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as per schedule.

**Operational Maintenance skills**:

- Demonstrated ability to perform semi-skilled tasks in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Knowledge of water and sewage systems, including regulatory sampling, testing, and maintenance in compliance with ministry standards.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining powered equipment (e.g., chainsaws, tractors, chlorinating systems).

**Leadership and Supervisory skills**:

- Proven experience in organizing, directing, and evaluating maintenance programs and leading seasonal staff.
- Ability to assess work quality, provide training, and contribute to staff selection and performance evaluation.

**Operational Planning and Problem Solving**:

- Ability to estimate materials and labor, manage supplies, and contribute to maintenance strategies and annual work plans.
