**Purpose of the Position**:
The Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance to ensure the production of safe, high-quality food products that meet customer specifications and industry standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and an initiative-taking approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
**Essential Position Responsibilities**:
**Directs quality, food safety and regulatory programs.**
- Develops and implements food safety, quality, and regulatory policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conducts regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments of production facilities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain the system to fulfill the requirements of industry quality standard such as SQF, BRC, IFS.
- Ensures that the factory not only meets but exceeds the standards required by both customers and regulatory agencies, building trust, and maintaining elevated levels of quality and compliance.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepares and maintains written programs and documentation to ensure effective communication of plant programs, procedures, and quality inspection requirements.
- Ensures effective scheduling and spending to meet quality requirements and ensure product meets expectations.
- Utilizes corrective action and preventive action methods to ensure sustained success.
- Ensures proper sanitation, hygiene, and food safety practices are always adhered to.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with production, procurement, R&D, and other teams.
- Be present on the production floor and lead the QA team to execute successful new product launches from first test batch until full scale production.
- Sends test batches out for analytical testing, confirming that the product meets all regulatory requirements and accurately reflects the claims made on its packaging, ensuring consumer safety and brand integrity.
**Builds a strong plant quality team.**
- Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals ensuring accurate and effective training of personnel.
- Manages people and resources to meet regulatory requirements and expectations.
- Develop and deliver training programs on quality and food safety standards for employees.
- Directs and supervises employee’s work activities and monitors performance.
- Ensures open communication by guiding and developing cooperative relationships between plant and quality personnel.
**Facilitates customer interaction.**
- Maintains open communication with customers and regulatory personnel on quality issues, customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Manages the customer and regulatory expectations, helping to maintain strong partnerships and ensure long-term success for both the organization and stakeholders.
- Exceeds customer specifications and resolves any deviations to specifications.
- Supports communication on all concerns customers may have.
**Participates as a member of the Team.**
- Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
- Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all employees.
- Fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all key issues (i.e., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.)
- Works with the team in a supportive, respectful manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways to reinforce actions needed and achieve constructive collaboration.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in food quality assurance and safety
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software
- Experience with auditing, inspection processes, and risk assessment
- Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
Pay: $78,087.00-$90,000.00 per year
