Operational Manager- Warehouse and Last Mile

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Warehouse Management**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Implement and manage warehouse policies and procedures to maintain high operational standards.
- Develop and enforce best practices for warehouse layout and space optimization to improve workflow and productivity.

**2. Order Fulfilment**:

- Utilise our proprietary software to efficiently process and fulfill customer orders.
- Ensure that all orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to address any order discrepancies or special requirements.

**3. Last Mile Delivery**:

- Manage and do the last mile deliveries, working closely with delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Monitor and track delivery performance, addressing any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

**4. Team Leadership**:

- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.

**5. Operational Efficiency**:

- Continuously monitor and improve warehouse operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Implement lean management principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive operational success.

**6. Inventory Control**:

- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software and manual systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Manage stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, coordinating with procurement as needed.

**7. Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to protect employees and minimize risks.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring the warehouse operates in full compliance.

**8. Customer Service**:

- Address any customer inquiries or issues related to logistics and delivery promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve any delivery or order-related problems.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing reliable and efficient logistics services.

**9. Reporting**:

- Generate and analyze reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and delivery performance.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Use data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing warehouse operations and last mile delivery services.

**Skills**:

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

**Leadership**:

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop a team.
- Experience in performance management and employee development.

**Technical Proficiency**:

- Comfortable using warehouse management software and other relevant technology.

**Communication**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, senior management, and external partners.

**Physical Stamina**:

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in a warehouse environment.

**Availability**:

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.
- Willingness to adapt to changing work schedules and demands.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
