Loader Operator

R.W. Tomlinson is looking for an individual to fill a quarry worker/ loader operator position. Quarry work will take place at the Tatlock Quarry 2 days/week. It will include operating various pieces of equipment and working around the crushing plant. Loader work will take place at the OMYA plant in Perth 3 days/week. It will include feeding hoppers and loading trucks.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Loader**
- Operate and maintain loader.
- Ensure good communication with plant, truck drivers, and foreman.
- Manage stockpiles and ensure only quality material is fed to the plant.
- Load highway trucks to max allowable gross weights.
- Keep idle time to a minimum.

**Quarry Labourer**
- Perform daily plant checks.
- Preform required maintenance on plant.
- Clean around the plant using a skid steer and hand shovel when needed.
- Ensure good housekeeping including keeping the tool trailer and MCC buildings clean, organized and free of tripping hazards.
- Check daily that guarding is in place.
- Operate Crushing plant when required
- Operate various pieces of equipment in quarry when required

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Will be required to work occasional weekend shifts
- Work night shifts when required
- Willing to work at other sites when required.
- 2-3 years of heavy equipment experience.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- Mechanically inclined.
