**Job Summary**:
The General Maintenance worker is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This role requires a strong working knowledge of various trades, including plumbing and carpentry. The General Maintenance worker will work both independently and collaboratively to address maintenance requests, conduct preventive maintenance, and contribute to the overall safety and functionality of the premises.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, troubleshooting, carpentry work and painting.
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and contractors to complete larger projects and major repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inventory.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of common areas, including restrooms, break rooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance requests.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing and carpentry,.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour
