Aqua-Coast Engineering LTD. is a locally owned professional engineering firm with offices in Delta and Kelowna, BC. We specialize in building envelope & roofing design and field reviews for the residential and commercial construction industry throughout British Columbia. Aqua-Coast is a successful and growing company providing practical solutions for our ongoing clients. Aqua-Coast Engineering is looking for an **Energy Modeler** to join our growing team to assist in energy modelling projects.

**Job Responsibilities.**
- Ensure effective communication with the internal and external project teams & the owner.
- Perform detailed building energy modelling using applicable software (eQuest, IES, Energy Plus, etc.).
- Understand the NECB, ASHRAE 90.1, BC Step Code and VBBL.
- Assist with interpreting requests for proposals (RFP’s) and quoting such projects
- Performing engineering calculations to support the energy modelling results
- Reviewing and interpreting architectural, mechanical, and electrical design drawings for the purpose of energy modelling.
- Provide guidance and assistance to clients on solutions affecting the sustainability and building energy modelling
- Preparation of submittals and documentation associated with project management.
- Collaborate to improve processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working as an energy modeler
- Degree from an engineering, architectural or building science program.
- A LEED Accredited Professional designation is an asset.
- Strong Leadership skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to handle multiple projects and clients
- Possesses sound communications skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $58,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
