Brindleberry is looking to hire Catering Cook who will be responsible for preparing awesome dishes for our clients. Duties will include prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, cooking meals, checking ingredients for freshness, and arranging and garnishing the dishes. You will also be in charge of ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.

To be successful in this job, you will need a thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation. Culinary school education is preferred, and prior experience in a related position is an advantage. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and be up to date with COVID-19 sanitation and procedures.
Restaurant Cook Responsibilities:

- Prepare awesome meals for our customers.
- Weigh, measure, mix, and prep ingredients according to recipes.
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Check food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arrange and garnish dishes.
- Work well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
- Help lead and inspire our kitchen staff with the restaurant manager.

Restaurant Cook Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
- Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
- Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for long hours shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
- Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes. Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Culinary: 1 year (required)
- cooking: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
