IT Helpdesk Technician

**Overview**
For more than 25 years, TAHA College has been a part of the Canadian Educational System, providing a pathway for Community Members working towards a brighter future. We are pleased to say that we are looking for an experienced Instructor in the following Program:
The Helpdesk Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our IT operations.

**Duties**
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems.
- Manage firewall settings and VPN connections to ensure secure access for users.
- Document issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve processes and enhance user experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in IT support.
- Implement new systems including Automation, Integration and Scripting.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
- Strong understanding of computer languages Java, Javascript, Python will be considered as an asset.
- AppsScript and Google Workspace experience is a must
- Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role is preferred.
- A passion for technology and a desire to learn new skills in the IT field.

Zoho experience is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 8 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- English not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
