Material Handler

**Material Handler **(Dauphin, MB)

We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Dauphin. This position offers 40 hours per week with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.

Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for movement of tooling, raw materials, work in process, and finished products required to facilitate efficient production.

Work as part of a team with others Material Handlers to fulfill the following responsibilities:

- Support production by furnishing each department with material required for upcoming production tasks, including raw material and work in process
- Support production by furnishing each department with fixtures required for upcoming production tasks, including retrieving fixtures from storage
- Manage storage of production materials within the shop, including raw material, work in process, and scrap
- Manage storage of fixtures, including assigning storage locations to new fixtures, adhering identification tags, and maintaining location records
- Receive shipments, including unloading trucks, unpacking packaged items, transferring received items to respective inventory locations, and maintaining records of vendor packing slips/bills of lading
- Transport materials outside the shop, including transferring finished product to warehouse, and pickup from local suppliers/subcontractors
- Assist machine operators with setup changes that require forklift assistance
- Manage organization of yard, including security of equipment, and storage of items outdoors

Qualifications and Skills:

- Experience operating equipment (forklift, overhead crane, etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- Well organized with strong time management skills
- Able to work in fast paced environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
- Experience working in material handling would be an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
- Class 3 drivers license, or higher, with air brake endorsement would be an asset

Work Schedule:

- 10 hours/day, Monday to Thursday (overtime as required)

**Salary**: $17.94-$23.21 per hour
