**Psychometrist (Independent Contractor)**

**Position**

Working under and reporting to the clinical direction of a clinical psychologist and clinical director, the psychometrist administers, scores, and summarizes psychological and other standardized assessments, and manages electronic and paper data, for children, adolescents, and adults. Graduation from a recognized degree program in psychology, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. Initial training will be provided.

**Education & Experience**
- Completion of a master’s degree in psychology or equivalent
- Coursework in psychometrics and common assessment batteries (e.g., WIAT, Woodcock Johnson, etc.)
- Experience in assessment administration preferred.

- Taking direction within a team approach (consultation, collaboration, problem-solving)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Responding to communication in a timely manner
- Attentive to detail; double-checking all tasks
- Multi-tasking, flexible, adaptable
- Understands and adheres to confidentiality and related legislation and standards
- Provides criminal record check with VSS
- Schedules, tracks, administers, scores, and summarizes psychological and other standardized assessments
- Manages electronic and paper data
- Observes and manages behaviour while taking observational notes
- Reviews and summarizes data (e.g., report cards, previous assessments)
- Commitment to continuing education with a focus on psychometry
- Other duties as required

**Computer / Technology Knowledge**
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word
- Use of online file management software (i.e., Dropbox, Jane, etc.) and administration tools (e.g., iPads)
- Use of online assessment management software for administration and scoring (e.g., Q-Global)

**Work Environment**
- Ability to work and perform within tight deadlines
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and a large workload
- Expectation to work independently and manage own schedule

**Own Tools / Equipment**
- Required to use personal cell phone and computer

- Assessment space
- Assessment tools
- Written templates

**Salary**

$40 - $50/hour

**Hours**

10-20 hours per week beginning ASAP.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
