**Job Summary**

Z'gamok Construction LP (ZCLP), a subsidiary of Z'gamok Enterprises Inc., an Indigenous business fully owned by Sagamok Anishnawbek, provides a diverse range of services across multiple business segments, including construction, haulage, underground mining services and commercial janitorial.

Z’gamok Construction LP (ZCLP) is recruiting hard-working, self-motivated, skilled individuals with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Equipment Operator.

The Equipment Operators will require aggregate and operations experience and will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment which may include: graders, excavators, bulldozers, front end loaders, rock trucks, compactors, and rollers.

The Equipment Operator will use heavy equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include: fine grading and finishing; landscaping; sloping and banking; backfilling; ditching; excavating; rough grading; grubbing, sub-grade excavating; sub-grade rolling; trenching; material handling; and slope grooming.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Operate heavy equipment to complete a variety of job tasks to assist with construction projects
- Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintain equipment in good operating condition; including greasing and topping off fluids
- Complete daily paperwork accurately including timesheets, pre-operational inspections, pre-tasks assessments; etc.
- Report any repair issues or equipment hazards immediately
- Follow directives and stockpile aggregates
- Secure special attachments to equipment
- Assist with general labour duties when needed, to complete construction projects
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Full Class G License
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment
- Experience operating graders, excavators, dozers, and front end loaders
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written); must be able to speak, read and write English
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Excellent time management, with the ability to meet key deadlines
- Efficient record-keeping abilities
- Basic measurement and calculation skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow safe working procedures
