North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families, and communities. We offer a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. We are currently looking for Music Instructors to lead programs for adults, youth, children and parent participation classes for babies and toddlers.

**ABOUT YOU**
You are a team player committed to community. You will plan and instruct developmentally appropriate music classes and dynamic lesson plans. You will be working in a creative environment utilizing your leadership and people skills while maintaining a safe environment to engage students to expand their interest in music. You are an excellent communicator with a positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- In-depth knowledge of music
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills
- Proven ability to create and implement lesson plans
- Ability to build a rapport with students, parents of students and staff
- Some knowledge of community recreation principles and practices
- Ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
North Vancouver Recreation & Culture is proud of the quality programs they offer and the fun atmosphere staff enjoy while working with infants, children, youth and adults of all abilities

**HOURLY RATE**:The pay for this casual position ranges between $25.58 - $38.38 per hour, based on education and experience, plus 4% vacation pay.
