Position: Roofing Sales Estimator **Job Type**: Full-Time (In-Office) Location: Vancouver, BC **Job Description**: We are seeking an experienced Roofing Sales Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, in-office role where you will respond to quote and bid requests, as well as have the opportunity to solicit your own work. You will be expected to maintain excellent communication with clients and office staff, adhering to Cambie Roofing’s procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Attend pre-bid site meetings to prepare accurate estimates. - Analyze and interpret project plans, specifications, and details. - Evaluate project financials and labour costs. - Complete and submit bid packages for clients. - Prepare estimates and takeoffs for labour, materials, and equipment. - Prepare and follow up on quotes. - Establish and maintain relationships with strategic accounts. - Review all contracts and quotes for accuracy. - Prepare material order sheets. - Evaluate products used in projects, including cost analysis. - Review bid opportunities and provide recommendations on which bids to pursue. - Consult and collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients at all stages of a project. - Conduct handover meetings with project managers. Qualifications: - Strong oral and written English communication skills. - 5+ years of experience as a roofing estimator. - Educational background in civil engineering, building science, or a related field is an asset. - Proficient in blueprint reading and contract document analysis; experience with Bluebeam and Planswift is preferred. - Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. - A team player with a positive attitude. - Ability to climb a 40-foot ladder. - Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record. What We Offer: - Competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience. - Yearly sales bonuses. - Company vehicle provided. - Comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, AD&D, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability (effective after 90 days). - Vacation time based on experience (2 to 3 weeks to start).
