**Job Summary**

We are seeking a proactive, independent individual to operate and maintain farm equipment and some hog barn maintenance. This role requires someone who is not just an operator, but a partner in the farm's success—someone who understands the flow of operations and can step up to supervise during peak periods. Housing is available.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Machinery Operation & Care**: Safely operate diverse farm equipment; perform routine preventative maintenance and complex repairs to minimize downtime.
- **Hog Facility Maintenance**: Conduct essential barn repairs (e.g., ventilation, water lines) and ensure the environment remains clean and biosecure.
- **Seasonal Supervision**: Lead and coordinate tasks for other workers during busy seasons to ensure all duties are completed on time.
- **Operational Independence**: Be aware of the daily farm cycle and identify tasks that need completion without **constant direction.**

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Minimum of 2 years college graduate
- **Experience**: Minimum 2 years of on farm work, operating with modern farm equipment.
- **Core Values**: Must be consistently on time, maintain a clean work environment, and possess the ability to **plan ahead** to prevent operational bottlenecks.
- **Physical Demands**: Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions and handle the physical nature of livestock farming.
- **Schedule Flexibility**:Must be willing to work evening, nights and weekends when required (e.g., during harvest or specific production cycles).

Pay: $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
