Summerhill Market is looking for a **Kitchen Helper** to join the Commissary team at our **Railside** location.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES**
- Following recipes provided by Team Lead as well as following specific production schedule;
- Prepping ingredients to be used in the production of products;
- Properly using equipment such knives, cheese grater, oven and/or stove top;
- Cleaning and sanitizing work tables, cupboards, and appliances as well as keeping all work areas clean;
- Unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and all other storage areas;
- Packaging or arranging the packaging of products as needed;
- Understanding of workplace safety as well as food safety and handling;
- Performing other duties as may be assigned.

**Skillset Requirements**:

- Passion for food - you are a true foodie at heart
- Being an effective and positive communicator - having great listening skills patience and knowing how to de-escalate challenging situations
- Previous food industry experience along with a Food Safety Handlers Certification is an asset
- Quality driven with strong attention to detail
- Collaborative with the ability to work in a dynamic team to create solutions in support of store operations
- Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less
- Flexible availability to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts with the ability to accommodate various shift coverage on short notice
- Comfortable working in a cooler environment, entering coolers/freezers as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
