We are looking for a dynamic and experienced **Forklift Operator** who can add to our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of warehouse operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate an electric counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and move inventory in the warehouse
- Complete assigned tasks such as picking and staging inventory on the loading dock under the direction of the warehouse supervisor
- Load and unload rail cars of lumber as needed; sweep and clean rail cars after unloading
- Maintain regular communication with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficiency in operations
- Perform thorough pre-trip inspections and submit accurate and timely reports
- Identify any damages to equipment or inventory and report it to management accordingly
- Conduct inventory counts and upload information onto the warehouse management system as needed
- Other warehouse duties that may be assigned from time to time

**What does it take to be part of our team?**
- At least 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment is required
- Working knowledge of industrial equipment as it relates to the job
- Demonstrated proficiency in using warehouse management systems and high adaptability to new and unfamiliar software
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Superior attention to detail
- Possess the ability to work professionally and respectfully with a positive attitude
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify and resolve minor issues in a timely manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check

**Hours of Work**:

- Work in warehouse - Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Location - 175 Plymouth Street, Winnipeg, MB R2X 2T3**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour
