This position requires a combination of skills, experience and education including, but not limited to
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- May have at least basic understanding of ArcGIS Pro, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Acrobat.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills
- 10+ years experience in Planning
There are a number of additional skills, experience, and education that would be beneficial to this position including, but not limited to:
- Post secondary education or master's degree in planning, environmental science, architecture, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- Registered Professional Planner or eligible for membership with a provincial agency
- Experience managing large projects for public sector clients

**Compensation**
The pay range for this job in
**Ottawa** is
** $90,000 - $105,000 CAD **annually. Placement within the range is based upon experience, skill-sets, and qualifications.

- **Life Insurance**: Alta pays 100% of the premium for life and AD&D, equal to your base compensation

- **Paid Time Off**:Alta offers employees between 21 and 25 days per year depending on their length of employment with Alta (all new hires start at the 21 day accrual). PTO hours roll over from year to year, and employees may carry up to a balance of 250 at any given time. PTO accrual begins immediately.
- **Holidays**: Alta offers 9 paid holidays during the calendar year including New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Boxing Day, and 2 floating holidays to be used at your discretion.
