We are currently recruiting for the position of:
**Full-time Community Residential Support Worker**

Location: Halifax, NS

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Reporting to a House Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in their day-to-day lives. Areas of support may include community access, recreation and leisure, household management, life skills, personal care, and medication administration. This is a fast-paced environment requiring critical planning, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work collaboratively. RRSS is a dynamic and rewarding work environment where creativity and an individualized approach are encouraged to meet the needs and goals of each person you support.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Grade XII plus post-secondary education with preference given to studies in Human Services and/or experience in a Human Service field.
- Effective communication in a professional manner at all levels within the organization and an ability to liaise with key partners including families, professionals, and other agencies.
- Experience working with an interdisciplinary team, including mental health professionals and Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs)
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
- Strong organization and record keeping skills.
- Positive ability to work within a team.
- Must have values and skills compatible with the type and level of support required.

**COMPENSATION**:
$20.76 per hour (plus shift differentials where applicable), Health and Dental Benefits, Life Insurance, LTD, AD&D, and Group RRSP plan.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:
Scheduling is based on a 4 week rotational schedule including some evenings and weekends.
