**Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary for loading or unloading.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enhancing the ability to troubleshoot vehicle issues on the road.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to transportation and freight handling.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with team members.
