**Veterinary Assistant**:
The River Park Veterinary Hospital is hiring We are a 2-doctor practice will strive in providing comprehensive, high quality veterinary care with an emphasis on exceptional customer service and patient care.

**Veterinary Assistants responsibilities will include**:provide assistance to our RVTs (Registered Veterinary Technicians) and vets, assist with patient care, and help keep the clinic clean and orderly. Experience and comfort handling both cats and dog will be an asset. Applicants should be physically able to be on their feet all day and perform lifting, squatting and kneeling. Responsibilities include janitorial duties of maintaining hospital-standard cleanliness, laundry, restraining pets, walking hospitalized pets, cleaning and preparing kennels, setting up and cleaning surgery/dental suites, wrapping/sterilizing surgical packs and equipment, restocking supplies, and assisting RVTs and DVMs with other additional tasks.

Requirements for both positions include a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in using office equipment and software; experience with veterinary management software is a plus. Veterinary clinic experience or a completed VOA program will be an asset.

Wage based on experience, and benefits include medical/dental/life insurance, discount on pet medical care and supplies, uniform allowance, continuing education allowance, staff events and a respectable and fair work environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$21.50 per hour
