Personal Support Worker

iHealthOX is seeking a qualified Personal Support Workers. Under the delegation and guidance of the Clinical Director, the PSW will assist the team as appropriate, responding to patient needs or tasks that require attention. Preference will be given to applicants with experience with G tubes, handling seizures and working with complex cases. Must be able to work between Kemptville and Kanata

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assisting with care of patients and respecting said patients
- Communicate with cognitively impaired clients, families, colleagues and staff
- Organize and prioritize workload
- Follow client care plans and carry out activities as directed
- Report client needs through observation of physical and mental condition/behavior
- Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Manage time effectively

Qualifications and Experience:

- Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle as work will be between Kemptville and Kanata
- Eligible to work in Canada
- English essential
- Support Care: 1 year (preferred)

License:

- First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred)
- Current with all provincial licensing requirements
