KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
- Isolate the systems or components that may have caused the problem
- Operate equipment for testing and diagnosing purposes
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing equipment
- Repair or replace worn parts ahead of equipment breakdown or damage
- Use common hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, to work on small-scale parts
- Review work orders and discuss ongoing work with supervisor
- Adjust, repair, and replace parts and components of fitness equipment
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Advise customers on work performed, general equipment condition, and future repair requirements
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor in order to determine whether to repair or replace units
- Test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Use company vehicles to travel to customer’s homes within city limits and surrounding areas to assess and repair equipment
- Other duties may be assigned as required
