**Parking Enforcement Officer ( Full-time / Permanent )**
Make a real impact in your community As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you’ll play an important role in maintaining accessible parking and safe streets while traveling to diverse sites around the city.

**Schedule**:
- Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Hours may change due to operational needs
**Responsibilities**:
- Patrol an assigned area by vehicle
- Issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles (using LPR vehicle system)
- Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes
- Make arrangements for illegally parked or abandoned vehicles to be towed, and direct tow-truck drivers to the correct vehicles
- Observe and report hazardous conditions such as replacement of unsafe signage within lot, etc.
- Prepare and maintain required records, records of parking enforcement, operational records and records of quoted quotations
- Maintain assigned equipment and supplies such as hand-held computers, quote book, etc.
- Provide information to the public regarding parking regulations and facilities
- Inform the public about policies, services or procedures
- Identify stolen, and counterfeit parking permits
- Duties as assigned by manager
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Cautious and courteous driver, with a **valid full provincial drivers license and a clean driving record**
- Confidence in problem solving and ability to manage stressful situations
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate both written and verbally
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of handheld computer, personal computer (Windows XP/Mobile) and mobile phone features
