**Position Summary**:
The primary responsibility of the Pen Rider is to check the health of the cattle in feedlot pens on horseback.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Detect disease and health problems in livestock.
- Treat the animals, as needed, while following safe and proper procedures.
- Maintain livestock performance records.
- Move and sort animals, while practicing low stress cattle handling.
- Pulling, weighing cattle for shipment
- Perform post mortems.
- Work with administration team to reconcile any errors that may arise
- Perform general farm duties or additional responsibilities as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Bovine handling experience (either in the dairy or beef industry).
- Knowledge of Cattle.
- Experience riding horses.
- Training will be provided.
**Work Environment and Schedule**:
Some early mornings will be required for cattle shipments
Schedule may change depending on the season and demands of the feedlot.
**Terms of Employment and Compensation**:
- Permanent, Full Time
- After successfully completing the 3 month probation period, will qualify for benefit package.
- Average 50+ hours per week, 200+ hours per month.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- Pen Riding: 2 years (preferred)
