This role supports delivery of customer and internal projects and serves as an expert in IT systems and in understanding business strategies for the organization and its customers. The BSA acts as a liaison between the business and technical teams for solution development and implementation. This position may also support and mentor other BA’s/BSA’s within the department depending on capabilities and level of experience held.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand capabilities of Smile Digital Health’s products and services.
- Conduct process redesign and gap analysis for both front end solutions and integrations with Smile Digital Health’s FHIR-based clinical data repository.
- Gather functional and technical requirements by engaging with the right stakeholders and using appropriate requirement gathering techniques.
- Evaluate and translate high-level requirements into technical requirements that can be consumed by the technical teams.
- Identify technical constraints in requirements, recommend changes to existing systems and identify impacted interfaces.
- Support in the assessment, qualification and validation of the proposed solutions and bring alignment with business needs and requirements.
- Effectively communicate requirements with solution architects, development and QA teams.
- Develop and present documentation for technical teams to use while assessing/developing required solutions.
- Maintain high quality documentation throughout the requirement lifecycle. This includes updating artifacts during and after work or project is closed.
- Assist in and often lead the facilitation of team and client meetings.
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues at all levels and departments to build and maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth transition of solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Use individual judgment and experience to solve problems, identify risks, and address issues.
- Collaborate with tech leads and designers to deliver the best possible solutions for our customers.
- Mentor and support Business Analysts on the team as needed.
- Accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported on a daily or weekly basis.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other IT related fields.
- Previous experience in business analysis and integration work.
- Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of technical requirements and the development of specifications.
- Experience in leading and conducting business and systems analysis in order to assess technical and business problems/ opportunities, documenting business requirements so that technology solutions can be determined.
- Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, waterfall, and iterative methodologies is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Previous experience in project management is preferred.
- Working experience in implementation of large scale and complex system integration in the healthcare sector.
- Working experience with providers and payers in the US Healthcare ecosystem.
- Good understanding of risk management, privacy, e-safety, and quality assurance methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering.
