**Position Title: Intermediate Operations Accountant**

**Department: Finance**

**Reporting Manager: Director of Finance**

**Location: Etobicoke**

This role is responsible for the review of posted payments, maintaining supporting documentation and resolving payment related inquires. Further, the role will support the month-end close process by providing reconciliations and journal entries for all payment clearing accounts.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Reconcile payment clearing accounts daily
- Reconcile and classify bank transactions daily
- Provide a monthly summary of transactions and make journal entries where required
- Respond to inquiries and requests of Customer Services Department and process related transactions if necessary
- Process discharges of customer accounts in loan management system
- Reconcile and review customer accounts for processing of refunds
- Reconcile customer refunds transactions and process necessary journal entries
- Provide support and guidance to the junior accountants
- Provide back up for the junior accountants
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferable in high volume processing environment
- Accounting degree or enrollment in CPA program preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and a part of a team

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
