**Electrical Maintenance Technician (EMT)**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
- The **Electrical Maintenance Technician (EMT)** installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs Industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls
**JOB TASKS**:
- Follows internal and provincial safety policies and standards.
- Reviews Work Order assignments daily, executes and documents daily activities within our ERP Maintenance system
- Actively participates in daily department meetings
- Performs PM and PM tasks as scheduled; generates Work Orders for items identified as requiring attention outside the PM.
- Reviews PM tasks and verifies that they address failure modes; recommends changes as part of continuous improvement
- Follows Equipment Stores’ procedures for obtaining parts
- Contacts suppliers as appropriate for technical support and clarification for procurement of parts as required
- Maintains a clean personal workspace and work areas; participates in weekly shop cleaning schedule
- Maintains assigned tools, equipment and instruments in good working order
- Maintains up-to-date building and equipment documentation in Maintenance Library as well as electronically
- Communicates with incoming shift regarding current issues to ensure proper hand-off
- Performs other duties as scheduled

- Must have superior Electrical and mechanical skills
- Must have strong organizational and time-management skills
- Must have ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
- Must have ability and willingness to work scheduled shifts
- Must have good interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others across all departments
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have proven ability to interpret schematics and other related equipment documentation
- Must have ability to lift items of 40 lbs and perform duties involving repetitive stretching motions, stair/ladder climbing, and standing
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Certified Industrial Electrician Red Seal ticket
**PREFERRED**:
- Experience working as an Industrial Electrician within a manufacturing environment
