Services include:

- Overseeing the daily operations of the campus libraries, including collection management of both digital and physical resources, resource curation to ensure a diverse and inclusive collection, circulation, cataloguing, and budget oversight
- Fostering a culture of reading as a core value and essential skill for discovery, lifelong learning, global citizenship, compassion, and personal joy
- Teaching students - individually and in groups - research, digital literacy, and information literacy skills, including critical evaluation of sources, effective search strategies, independent study habits, and the ethical use of information to support academic integrity and inquiry-based learning
- Collaborating with teachers, programme coordinators, and divisional leadership teams to integrate library services into the educational program, enhancing curriculum delivery and student learning
- Supporting professional development by providing training for faculty and staff on the use of information resources and the integration of information literacy skills across the curriculum
- Participating in shaping and communicating the evolving role of the school library in the 21st century; delivering presentations to various stakeholders, including faculty, administration, and the wider school community
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures that promote equitable access, innovation, and inquiry-based learning
- Contributing to strategic planning initiatives under the direction of the Head of School, ensuring alignment with the School's Strategic Plan
- Creating tools and processes to evaluate current library services, balancing immediate demands with emerging needs within available resources
- Assisting in planning for the development and future expansion of library facilities to enhance student learning environments
- Establishing and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff and other departments
- Gathering and recommending books for staff based on requests and resource lists as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- A professional library qualification (including MLIS) at degree level or equivalent
- Experience working effectively with a team of staff, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to relate well to children and young adults of multiple ages (K-12)
- Energy, stamina, a sense of humour and an open-minded approach to new initiatives
- Excellent leadership skills, including innovating, communicating, team building, planning, working through change, resolving conflict, participating in and leading in teams
- Strong project and time management skills including the ability to function effectively in an environment where multiple projects, tasks and initiatives are in various stages of development and implementation
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting and expenditure controls
- Familiarity with Follett-Destiny is an asset
