**Position Overview**

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Contractor Desk Associate to support our contractor clientele with accurate quotes, product recommendations, special orders, and day-to-day order management. This role is ideal for someone who understands building materials, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys problem-solving for customers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet and assist contractors, builders, and homeowners at the Contractor Sales Desk
- Prepare material take-offs, quotes, and sales orders with accuracy
- Provide product knowledge and guidance on lumber, hardware, and building materials
- Handle special orders, deliveries, and follow-ups to ensure timely customer service
- Enter and process sales transactions in the POS system
- Work collaboratively with yard staff, delivery drivers, and inventory teams
- Communicate lead times, pricing, and availability with clarity and confidence
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional contractor desk area
- Build long-term relationships with repeat contractors and account customers
- Resolve issues professionally and escalate when needed

**Qualifications**
- 3 plus years of experience in commercial building materials (preferred), construction, hardware retail or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of lumber, framing, hardware, and common construction practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong phone skills, oral communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
- Accuracy with numbers, measurements, and job-site terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Demonstrates strong keyboarding skills with a high degree of speed and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

**Schedule**
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday daytime hours, including alternating Saturdays
- In person

Pay: $45,760.00-$72,800.00 per year
